Parents and caregivers may seek advice when a child’s emotions, behavior, or difficulties at school or home raise concerns. A mental health evaluation can help clarify the concern and guide appropriate support.
When to seek advice
The National Institute of Mental Health recommends considering help when concerns persist, cause distress, or interfere with functioning at home, at school, or with friends. A child’s pediatrician can be a useful starting point.
Before requesting an appointment
Contact Alquimedez to confirm availability for your child’s age, state, and requested service. Ask whether the request is for counseling, a psychiatric evaluation, or another type of assessment. Availability and the appropriate appointment type must be confirmed before scheduling.
Prepare a brief description of your concerns and questions. Ask how to submit records securely and what parent or guardian involvement is needed. An inquiry does not establish a diagnosis or guarantee medication treatment.
Request an appointment
Request an Appointment or contact our office to discuss your request. Tell our team your state and the type of support you are seeking so availability and next steps can be confirmed. Submitting a request does not confirm an appointment.
